TV Appearances

C5 Matt Allwright

I appeared on Channel 5 with Matt Allwright to discuss key sun protection and skincare advice. We talked about why suncream is essential year-round in the UK, not just in summer.
We explored how UV exposure contributes to skin ageing and long-term skin damage. Even on cloudy days, daily UV protection is crucial for healthy skin.

C5 Alex Conran & Friends ‘Call the Doctor’

I try to use every available medium to talk about skincare and aesthetics. Therefore, I was delighted to be invited by Channel 5s Alexis Conran (part of the Jeremy Vine show) to appear as industry expert on a live phone-in.  The phone-in covered all types of skin concern (not just aesthetics):

C5 Storm Huntley Show

Following the success of the first television appearance, I was invited to appear as special guest doctor on the Storm Huntley Show, giving expert opinion on all aspects of summer skincare with particular attention to skin cancer prevention.

ITN 5 NEWS

  • In September, I was contacted by a journalist from the ITN to talk about Exosomes. The journalist was investigating which brands of exosomes are being offered in high street clinics, what the products actually contain, and why some clinics are using exosomes containing human cells (knowingly or unknowingly). She contacted me having read my comments about the same= subject in The Guardian

I discussed the ethics around using the unregulated product (exosomes derived from human umbilical cords, often originating in Korea), and the alternative regulated salmon-derived product. Also, how clinics can be misled into purchasing and offering the wrong thing.

The programme aired in October 2025.

ITN NEWS

I appeared on ITV News to discuss the growing concerns around body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) and the rising demand for cosmetic fillers and aesthetic treatments in the UK.
The interview focused on how social media and advertising pressures can influence body image, particularly among young people.
We discussed a recent case highlighting the impact of cosmetic procedure addiction and appearance anxiety.
I also spoke about the importance of stronger safeguarding and clearer regulation around aesthetic treatments.
While demand for treatments continues to rise, it’s vital we prioritise patient safety and informed decision-making.

BBC News

I appeared on BBC News to discuss how UV light can cause long-term skin damage. We talked about the importance of enjoying the sun safely while prioritising effective UV protection and sunscreen use, including the benefits of zinc oxide-based sunscreens. Simple, consistent protection remains one of the most effective ways to reduce sun damage, premature ageing, and skin health risks.

Masculinity and Aesthetics with Dr Dev Patel

I joined Rob Hosking on the Rebranding Masculinity Podcast to explore the evolving conversation around masculinity and aesthetics. We discussed the growing acceptance of aesthetic treatments among men, the importance of confidence and identity, and how modern approaches to skincare and treatments are becoming more inclusive, evidence-based, and stigma-free.

CellDerma

In this piece, I explain the philosophy behind CellDerma and why I take a barrier-first approach to skin health. I focus on how inflammation — both visible and silent — sits at the root of many skin concerns, including acne, rosacea, sensitivity, and premature ageing.

I discuss why I believe many traditional active-led formulations can compromise the skin barrier through irritation and instability, and how this can undermine long-term skin health.

At CellDerma, I prioritise simple, effective, and well-tolerated formulations designed to work with the skin, not against it, using advanced technologies that support barrier function while delivering clinically meaningful results.

Clinical Articles & Insights

Shaping Perception

In this article, I explore how aesthetic medicine goes far beyond surface-level change, shaping perception, confidence, and real-world outcomes. I discuss how even subtle adjustments can influence how individuals are perceived in both personal and professional settings.

I focus on the importance of proportion-led, natural-looking treatments, and why authenticity should always take priority over trends. In modern aesthetics, achieving harmony rather than exaggeration is key to delivering results that feel both effective and truly undetectable.
