A Career in Medicine, Leadership & Aesthetic Medicine

The first chapter of my career was nine years as a Royal Navy Medical Officer, retiring with the rank of Surgeon Lieutenant Commander. It was there I developed the leadership, resilience and clinical decision-making skills that continue to shape my approach to patient care, medical education and evidence-based aesthetic medicine.

The second chapter was NHS General Practice, where I developed a specialist interest in dermatology, skin health and regenerative aesthetics. This broad clinical foundation continues to influence my evidence-based approach to patient care and long-term clinical outcomes.

My third chapter began in 2011, when I entered aesthetic medicine with a commitment to innovation, education and raising clinical standards. Today, I combine clinical practice with medical speaking, aesthetic training and evidence-based innovation to help advance the future of aesthetic medicine.

Rethinking Aesthetic Medicine

I challenged convention.

While much of aesthetic medicine focused on treating the surface, I became committed to regenerative aesthetics – advancing evidence-based treatments that work with the body's natural biology to repair, restore and support long-term skin health. My approach has always been driven by clinical evidence, patient safety and outcomes that deliver meaningful, lasting results.

Innovation should never exist for its own sake. Every treatment should be evidence-based, clinically justified and focused on achieving the best possible outcome for every patient.

Today, I am the Founder and Medical Director of Perfect Skin Solutions, the Founder of Perfect Skin Academy, and the creator of CellDerma – a doctor-formulated, evidence-based skincare brand developed through clinical experience and scientific research. Every treatment, protocol and product is built around one principle: delivering safe, evidence-based care and meaningful patient outcomes.

Alongside clinical practice, I am an international medical speaker, aesthetic trainer and trusted media commentator, regularly educating healthcare professionals and speaking on skin health, regenerative aesthetics and evidence-based aesthetic medicine. Whether presenting at international conferences, training clinicians or contributing to the media, my goal is to make complex science practical, engaging and accessible.

Everything I do is guided by the same values – clinical excellence, innovation, integrity and education. I believe exceptional aesthetic medicine should look natural, be supported by evidence and always put patient safety first.

I don't follow trends. I help raise standards, advance clinical practice and shape the future of aesthetic medicine.
